When a homeowner is engaged in a massive interior renovation project, they’re often motivated to create a relaxed, comfortable outdoor space that melds with the rest of the property. Your home is not just the four walls and roof under which you eat, sleep, and entertain, after all. It is the entire footprint of your estate where you soak up the sun, lounge, and make memories with your friends and family.
The owners of this beautiful Colonial home had added an entire wing and made extensive changes throughout the home when they sought the expertise of The Todd Group and landscape architecture firm Quercus Studio. Together, our goal was to perfect the landscape and outdoor living space. Through all landscape and hardscape spaces, we anchored the home to its natural surroundings while upholding the elegance of this classic American estate.
Throughout the property, we planted flowering perennials such as windflower, hibiscus and mountain mint. Our intent was to embrace seasonal beauty and draw attention to the existing plantings. Our enhancement team designed colorful containers with a variety of flowers and placed them throughout the property to add pops of color.
The backyard of this amazing property is a homeowner’s playground, with a pool and adjacent pool house, tennis court, bluestone patio with tranquil water feature, and perennial flowers and shrubs throughout. As frequent entertainers, the family wanted the space to feel comfortable for friends and guests as well as their active children. The yard offers a large play area for them and their friends.
The Todd group installed much of the landscaping of this property and continues to maintain the grounds. We employ experienced construction and planting crews led by professional foremen who have been with our company for more than two decades. Whether you have a large installation project, ongoing maintenance, estate management needs, or other requirements, we’re here to help.
