Fleet Manager
Salary: $22-$27/hour
The Todd Group is a family-owned landscape design build management firm specializing in building quality garden spaces with unique outdoor living areas that include custom masonry patios with water features, outdoor kitchen, and dining rooms. Their sister company, Peters – Todd’s is a full-service tree care company. Both companies have varying types of trucks, heavy equipment, and small equipment. We are seeking a knowledgeable individual with the ability to efficient track, manage and maintain company equipment and fleet.

Responsibilities:
Supervise the maintenance, operations, and repairs of the fleet which includes automobiles, trucks, construction equipment, snow removal vehicles, small equipment, and tools
Supervise the repairs to equipment, machinery, motors, and pumps, etc.
Communicate with managers and foremen daily to understand equipment needs
Prepare and writes specifications for automotive vehicles and equipment, supplies, and materials
Provide budget recommendations for fleet operations
Deal with authorized dealers, contractors, vendors to secure equipment, vehicles, and parts
Develop long-range plans to eliminate and purchase equipment and vehicles for the fleet
Estimate costs and sells off obsolete or surplus vehicles and equipment to auction company or public sales
Maintain warranties, licenses, and registrations for all vehicles
Arrange repair work as needed and according to warranty guidelines
Develop and implements a preventative maintenance program for the entire fleet
Recommend appropriate methods and repairs to reconditioning the fleet
Maintain garage and work areas for adherence to safety codes and regulations
Reviews time and motion records of fleet employees to determine downtime for maintenance and repairs of vehicles
Qualifications:
5+ years of fleet management with an equipment and mechanical background
Valid driver’s license and clean record
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job without accommodation
Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
Computer knowledge a plus
Bi-lingual a plus
